UC ANR Moves

UC ANR Moves May 11, 2022

UC Agriculture and Natural Resources is hosting UC ANR Moves on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 9:30 a.m.

All ANR employees are invited to participate in this annual community-building event by walking, outdoors or indoors, or engaging in another form of exercise, to promote healthy active lifestyles. This year's event will be held on Zoom in addition to some ANR facilities hosting in-person walking events.

UC ANR Moves promotes wellness by encouraging employees to take time out of their day to be active. Grab your walking shoes, water bottle, hats, sunscreen, and join your UC ANR colleagues as we take a walk break for good health and community.

Get ready. Plan your walking route. Encourage colleagues to join the walk.

We will begin this event on Zoom. Join ANR colleagues from across the state in light and fun stretching before the 30-40 minute walk or exercise break. As with any form of exercise, don’t forget to warm-up and cool-down to avoid any injuries.  If walking at another time, this video has some great exercise options.

There will be two breakout rooms including a 90's theme step video and yoga introduction.

UC ANR leadership approves of participation and has granted one-hour of release time.

Share Photos!  Take photos and videos along your walk. Share your walk experience through real-time videos and photos on social media (Facebook, Instagram or Twitter) using the hashtag #UCANRmoves.

Participation Prizes! The UC Staff Assembly Wellness Committee will randomly draw names from participants in the Zoom and in-person activities for gift card prizes.

Be well.  Please remember to stick to California’s COVID-19 restrictions while outdoors.
